ICTC Partnership Initiatives
ICTC and its member organizations receive funding from several generous donors and organizations who share a vision to eliminate trachoma as a public health problem by 2030. Significant donors have included: Conrad N Hilton Foundation, Lions Clubs International Foundation, Pfizer, The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust, the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office and United States Agency for International Development.
The following partnership initiatives have been undertaken through consortiums of ICTC members:
The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust Trachoma Initiative
In April 2014, ICTC began implementing The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust funded Trachoma Initiative, a £39.8m program supporting trachoma elimination efforts in Commonwealth countries in Africa and the Pacific.

DFID's Trachoma SAFE Implementation Program
In June 2014, The Department for International Development announced a £39 million investment to help support the elimination of trachoma as a public health problem in countries where the disease is highly endemic, including Ethiopia, Tanzania and Zambia.

Global Trachoma Mapping Project
In July 2012, ICTC members launched the most extensive and successful disease mapping effort ever attempted. The DFID and USAID funded Global Trachoma Mapping Project (GTMP) aimed to comprehensively survey every suspected endemic district in the world. It was completed in January 2016, after surveyors collected data on 2.6 million people in 29 countries using Android smartphones – examining a staggering one person every 40 seconds on average.
